Should i use the Z-wave.me or Z-wave integration with Home Assistant ?

The short answer is that if you have a Z-wave.me adapter and are using their Z-wave.me server you shall use the Z-wave.me integration.

On the other hand if you want to use the latest updated software, for your Z-wave.me product, or almost any other, use the Z-wave JS server together with the Z-wave integration.

This post will show how to set up the integrations interfacing a standalone Z-wave.me server and a standalone Z-wave JS server

Introduction
If you have the Z-wave adapter on the same hardware as the HA installation just go for the setup here.

I have a Z-wave.me adapter and despite the older software I have choosen the Z-wave.me server and its HA integration. This is due to that some old Z-wave devices wasn't identified by the Z-wave JS server.

Z-wave.me
Set up the server according to this post and then add the Z-wave.me integration to your HA installation.

At the local Z-WAVE.me WEB interface, "http://your_host.local:8083/" log in as "Admin" and create a new user, HA ?, "Configuration => Settings => User Management" with; Settings, Role "User". Select which devices that shall be available for HA do that with "Allow access to the following devices".
Log out as "Admin" and log in with the newly created user, HA, and via "Generate local auth token" use it in the HA setup.
