Boat navigation network

In a former post a I presented our approach to mix a modern NMEA 2000(N2) network with the older Raymarine ST 1 network, installed 2006.

During the Years it has grown and been added with new functions. The pictures to the right is the actual layout.

The first add on was a N2 GPS described here.

Then I wanted to get NMEA data, via WiFi,  to Tablet applications like iSailor so added a N2 to USB interface, Actisense NGT-1, Raspberry Pi(RPi) and a Dovado Pro AC Router.

On the RPi I have tested both OpenPlotter and SignalK.

Then it was time to get the engine data from the two Volvo Penta D6 via the Yacht devices gateway.

The latest update was the Wilhelm SK app which can display all the N2 data in a highly flexible way.
