HomeKit bridge with Z-Wave II

In a former post I used Homebridge on a Raspberry Pi, to make Z-wave devices appear in the Apple Home app, but there is a simpler and faster, way.

Start with the install of the Razberry card or upgrade to Z-way V3.0.0

Other HomeKit posts on this Blogg

Go on installing the Apple Homekit Gate, AHG, from the Z-wave app store

Search or find the AHG in "Apps => Online Apps"

Click on the AHG icon and "+ Add App"

Go to "Active apps" and check out the settings for AHG where You at the bottom will find the Apple Homekit PIN.

In the Apple Home app add the Z-way bridge using the PIN

After adding the bridge all connected Z-way devices will appear in "Default Room". Update the devices names and move them to their right rooms.

Remark
The app above is not available anymore but maybe it could be replaced by Bridge4KT ?

  1. I am trying to follow what you are saying, but its not making sense to me.
How can someone get Zwave devices in HomeKit? I do have an RPi3 running homebridge. I am fine with either an add on to homebridge or a standalone option

    1. First you have to add a Z-wave interface. I used the Razberry card. Then a software package, the HomeKit Gate from Z-way appstore or a Homebridge plugin. Please find the links in the text above.
